Every year I happily write a short article promoting the High Street Uniting Church Fete in Frankston. This year the fete is being held on Saturday 6th May 2017 from 8.30am to 1pm, so if you're in the area, looking for a swag load of bargains or simply a friendly morning tea, be sure and call in.
Even though I'm not a member of the High Street Uniting Church congregation, I have a real soft spot for this particular fete. This small community has a quiet warmth about it; the sort of bond outsiders can only envy. This small army always manages to pull together a wonderful fete offering a wide selection on my two favourite tables – the White Elephant and Book stall section – along with lucky jars and cakes, Devonshire tea, plants, knitted wares, arts & crafts and live music that will bring you to a standstill simply to enjoy.
This year the fete is promising a selection that will include homemade preserves, cards, bric-a-brac, crafts, activities and live entertainment along with all their usual fare.
