High Tea just got a little bit manlier
I've been a Relationship Coach for a little while now and see many couples struggling to take time out in putting their relationship back on the priority list. Work gets chaotic, children need attention, friends need time and loads of other life challenges. I recently heard the following comments and decided it was time I looked into date options for couples wanting to get things back on track:
"I want to try something different where we can actually have a conversation. We work all the time and can barely get a word in once we're both home from work and the kids take priority"
"I just want to go out, sit down and grab a drink with some food and then talk about our weeks. She always hangs out with her girlfriends over tea but that doesn't interest me – I want something that we can both enjoy doing"
Guess what ladies and gentlemen? I think I've found the perfect option to suit you both. I introduce to you, HIGH COFFEE!
Upon arrival you are seated and greeted with a delicious Espresso Martini and then the rest of your delectable degustation begins.
Who can resist an Espresso Martini?
Here's the nitty gritty:
What's the cost? $55 per person Availability: Daily from 2 – 5pm (bookings are essential on weekends with last bookings being accepted at 3:30pm) Location: High coffee is served daily at InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto - Market Lane Bar, 495 Collins Street, Melbourne. Coffee: Stefano Mandfredi's signature coffee, Espresso di Manfredi High Coffee Menu:
The Menu - delicious!
Sandwiches Smoked salmon bagel Chicken and cranberry baguette Millawa ashed goats cheese with rooftop honey
Scones Chocolate and plain scones served with double cream and home made strawberry jam
Palate Cleanser Seasonal sorbet
Parma ham and asparagus quiche
For extra intensity try adding the Cafè Corretto, a shot of perfect Espresso di Manfredi 'corrected' with a shot of grappa (not included in price)
I did this with my partner and we'd rate this highly as a relaxing, intimate and cozy date option. It's a fantastic way to sit down with your partner and really re-connect. The coffee is great, the food delicious, the staff accommodating without being overbearing and there's great ambience in the bar to make you feel right at home.
The bar isn't overcrowded which means you can really talk to each other without feeling like you need to yell. Why not try this out as an option if you're looking for a casual (yet intimate) afternoon date idea? What've you got to lose?
