Tucked away in the suburbs is this hidden gem of a cafe, one you probably wouldn't have known was there unless you are a local.

The Hideout Cafe & Pizza
The Hideout Cafe & Pizza is located on the corner of Bogalara and Beck Roads in Old Toongabbie. It is a modest cafe with ample indoor and outdoor seating to dine-in or the ideal place to pick up a take away coffee or bite to eat if you're on the go.

The cafe has an extensive menu to suit most diners for breakfast, lunch, or possibly a snack in between. The beef burger I ordered was juicy and tasty. It tasted similar to the old fashion burger I used to order in the 80s from my local takeaway shop.

The strawberry milkshake was equally tasty, my only grumble being I wanted more. For me, nothing beats a milkshake served in the stainless-steel cup it is made in.

Being hidden away in the suburbs, the venue is nice and quiet, relaxing even, with little to no pavement traffic, which is what you get in the busier inner suburbs. The locals benefit from having a nearby cafe, which for many would be within walking distance, and for others in the know, easy enough to park their cars nearby to pick up a takeaway lunch or morning coffee.

Cheeseburger and Chips
With plenty of on-street parking, quiet surroundings, tasty food, quick and friendly service, I don't think the cafe will be a hideout for too long.
