Enjoy Fremantle’s pulsing music scene
From the 7th of July 2016 to the 28th of July 2016, come along to the City of Fremantle's Hidden Treasures Music Series 2016. An annual event aimed at celebrating Fremantle's local talent and vibrant and pulsating music scene, there are shows held ever y Thursday in July. Explore the unusual venues on High Street in Fremantle's West End with shows at National Hotel (98 High Street for old school folk and rock), the Navy Club (64 High Street), Buffalo Club (54 High Street), Bar Orient (39 High Street) and PS Art Space (22 Pakenham Street for cutting-edge performances, visuals and DJs).
This year, more than 45 acts will play across the five venues with a diverse line-up with icons such as Jim Fisher, Carus Thompson, The Kill Devil Hills and the Floors along with newer bands such as Verge Collection, Stella and Mt. Mountain. If you are a budding songwriter you can be part of the stumbling block showcase at the National Hotel on the 7th of July where you can debut new materials. Other artistes include Golden String, Sean O'Neill, Mei Saraswati, the Spunloves, Squidfinger,Human Buoy, Elli Schoen, Southern River Band, Patient Little Sister, Bluegrass Parkway, Soukoss Internationale, Tim Rogers, Great Gable, High Horse and many more.
Remember to explore the live music photography exhibition curated by WA music identity Bob Gordon. If you want to meet your favourite musicians, they all hang out at the Nonna's Lounge where designated band merchandise is also available. Tickets are only available at the door at each venue. One $15 ticket gets you entry to five venues for that evening only. Club members are entitled to free entry to that venue when presenting their membership card.
