On Sunday the 19th of September 2021, you are invited to come along to Tea Tree Gully Heritage Museum for a day filled with all things apron . There will be over 50 aprons to view including those from medieval tradesmen. Stonemasons, gardeners, butlers, barbers and butchers all wore different coloured aprons. In fact, men were the first to wear aprons!

Besides learning about aprons, you will also have the opportunity to explore the many rooms in the historic house as well as its four outdoor pavilions, blacksmith, police cell and laundry. I recently visited the museum and you can read about my experience here .

Entry fees are $5 per adult and $4 for concession. Children enter free of charge. So, bring the family and why not also stay for a sausage sizzle and Devonshire tea. More information is available on their website .
