As part of the forthcoming National Trust Heritage Festival, the Puffing Billy Preservation Society (PBPS) is holding a special event on the weekend of Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of April.

Entitled Heritage Mixed Trains, this special family-friendly event will also allow train enthusiasts to view various heritage carriages and locomotives, and also includes an opportunity to ride from Belgrave to Gembrook return. During this journey, there will be an opportunity to indulge in a spot of railway and train photography at Lakeside and Gembrook stations.



As a bonus, the funds raised from this special event will be used for the refurbishment of guards van 5NC.

Bookings are required for this event and you can book online or contact the Puffing Billy Preservation Society on (03) 9757 0700 or via e-mail.

Ticket prices are as follows:
65 - Single Adult Ticket.
32.50 - Single Child Ticket.
There are no concessions available.

The train will depart Belgrave at 9:30am and arrive at Gembrook at 12:00pm.

The return train will depart Gembrook at 2:00pm and arrive at Belgrave at 4:00pm.

Why? A Fun Day Out for Train Enthusiasts.
When: Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th April, 2011
Where: Belgrave (1 Old Monbulk Rd) to Gembrook (Main Road, Gembrook), Victoria.
Cost: Single Adult ticket is $65 and a Single Child Ticket is $32.50

I love Puffing Billy and you cannot have children in Victoria without having them have a ride on Puffing Billy.

I know that the Mornington Steam Train has a special Easter ride too. It may not be quite the same as puffing billy, yet if your on the Mornington Peninsula it is worth a ride.
