Charming rustic cafe at the edge of the forest with lovely homemade food and great hot drinks.
Hideaway Cafe appears to be coming out from a fairy tale book: a rustic home surrounded by rainforest with pots of flowers on the front steps and on the verandas and visited by local wildlife.

Inside the cafe there is the kitchen, where all the actions take place: a coffee machine gets operated by Sophie preparing great hot drinks. Especially after a hike, a walk or a drive, the body craves for caffeine and at Hideaway Cafe you can have your caffeine shot in a delicious cup of coffee.

In the refrigerator below the counter, there are flavoursome homemade pistachio and lime syrup cake, pear and ricotta tarts, chocolate brownie with cherries. There are fresh light meals, such as sandwiches and wraps with different fillings. There are muffins too!

So much food to choose from.

On top of the wall, there are two boards with the menu for all day breakfast and lunch. The kitchen is ready to prepare hot chips, burgers and other hot meals! The display refrigerator has juices, Bundaberg soft drinks, a variety of soft drinks, flavoured milk, coconut water and bottles of water.
When I hike in beautiful Tallebudgera Valley, I look forward to stopping at Hideaway Cafe with my hiking friends. My eyes are kidnapped straight away by the croissants and pastries in the glass container on the cafe counter. I can't resist in grabbing a sophisticated pastry, light and firm, dusted with fine sugar, topped with white chocolate and a fresh raspberry. Just delicious!

Hideaway Cafe has a relaxing and roomy veranda at the back overlooking the forest. The pot plants blend in with the green and the colours of the vegetation. You can enjoy your meals and drinks taking your time. Local butcher bird Polly can be very entertaining and curious.
