'Her Story' is an engaging exhibition showcasing the innovative and emotive work of the women's art collective, Warrior Women . Directed by Michelle Bowden, The Warrior Women network helps women connect through art with practical support and mentoring. The artists use exhibition opportunities to increase awareness of women's issues and to fundraise for worthy women's causes.The group exhibition will open on Thursday 17th of November, 2016 at Graydon Gallery in Newfarm, Brisbane.Entry is FREE and the multimedia exhibition features the participation of 12 talented women artists, who will tell they own story and the story of women around the world through art.The exhibition includes works by Cecilia Hine, Daniele Lamarche-Sarvia, Gaye Tait, Jane Higgins, Mandy Brooks, Michelle Bowden, Ruby Purple, Sam Randall, Vivienne Searle, Wendy Rix, Bev Gollschewsky and Olga Bakhtina.There will be a wide diversity of mediums on display and subjects matters will explore matters relating to Australia, as well as issues in other parts of the world.Complementing the exhibition, which will run until Sunday 27th of November, 2016, is a program of special events, including interactive workshops, informative artist's talks and a fund-raising event.Below are the highlights:17th November 2016, 5:30pm to 8pm - Opening Night and Meet the Artists.19th November 2016, 10:30am to 12:30pm - Telling stories through animation with Daniele Lamarche-Sarvia & Ruby Purple. $25 per person.
