The University of Adelaide Theatre Guild present Shakespeare's most famous history play, Henry V, at Little Theatre, The Cloisters, University of Adelaide from Sat 6 May, Tue-Sat 9-13 & 16-20 May 2017 at 7.30pm.

With a talented cast, highly acclaimed Australian Director Megan Dansie directs the story of a King who develops in stature from unsure youth to triumphant King when he wins what appears to be an impossible victory when confronted with definite defeat. As a leader and soldier, this triumphant king and a gathering of brave and humorous characters deliver a gripping production.

In 2013 Megan Dansie won Best Individual Award for Amateur Theatre - for directing Richard III which went on to win several other awards:-
Best Show Drama (Amateur) - Richard III
Best Male Performance (Amateur) - Bart Csorba in Richard III
Best Female Performance (Amateur) nomination - Rachel Burfield in Richard III
Theatre Association of South Australia 2013
DramatiCAL Award Theatre Guild for Richard III
Adelaide Critics Circle Awards 2013
Best Group Award for Amateur Theatre - Theatre Guild for Richard III.
Director Megan Dansie's vision for Henry V is inspired by the use of drama therapy for survivors of post- traumatic stress disorder. A group of patients and family members perform Shakespeare's Henry V as they deal with the trauma of war and move to acceptance by confronting their past actions. The play explores the effect of war on the combatants and their loved ones, and the difficult moral decisions made by leaders in the heat of hostile encounters.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more … with a marvelous cast comprising of Robert Bell, Beatrice Blackwell, Tony Busch, Matthew Chapman, Peter Davies, Geoff Dawes, Nick Duddy (Henry V), Lindsay Dunn, Gary George, Rose Harvey, Guy Henderson, Matt Houston, Steve Marvanek, Ellie McPhee, Dylan O'Donnell, Jason Sardhina, Angela Short and Georgia Stockham audiences can look forward to some stimulating and captivating performances.
