It's probably the last thing on your mind to go to anywhere near Adelaide beaches in the core of winter, so hopefully this article will change your mind!

City of Charles Sturt council have always encouraged the community to enjoy the beach views. The council have upgraded the footpaths along the sea shore so everyone feels safe and every reason to exercise.

Walking in winter not only stimulates your senses with the invigorating chill but boosts your mood, it encourages oxygen in the muscles and creates fond friendships with other walkers.

You will be surprised to see the changes to Henley Beach South beach side. If the weather continues to shine, make your way to Henley Beach South and start your walk from the tip near opening of the River Torrens and take yourself all the way to the end of Grange Jetty.

There are no hills or path interruptions to worry about, just bring a good jacket and lace up those sneakers. There is plenty of free parking along the sea side, free public toilets, dogs welcome and a few local pubs should you need to rest.

What a wonderful way to see the sea dance in winter and you may be lucky to see the Port River Dolphins swim by.
