Maroondah City Council are hosting two important events that can help your teens and younger kids cope with what they're going through, especially during these uncertain times. See events as follows.

Wed 12 Aug 2020 from 7pm to 8.30pm - Understanding your Teen and helping them transition to young adulthood - Tickets (FREE) HERE
Wed 26 Aug 2020 from 7pm to 8.30pm - Anxious kids - from anxiety to resilience - Tickets ($10) HERE

Kate Wilde - educator, counsellor and development worker will guide you to understand, support and stay connected to your teen as they transition to adulthood in the first event. Get a deeper understanding as to why adolescents behave the way they do as they develop their emotions, mood and brain. Learn how to keep the communication lines open and cope with the changing relationship as they become more independent.

Dr Jodi Richardson is a mental health and wellbeing author, speaker and educator who will share her experience and touch on subjects on how you can help anxious kids transition from anxiety to resilience. Learn what kids need to develop resilience and help them develop a tolerance towards distress. Get insight into what happens in an anxious brain and the contagious nature of anxiety. Learn how you as parents can manage your own stress and learn essential tools to manage anxiety and more at this second event. You'll find more information via the given links.
