Existing in that space between consciousness and coffee.

By day, there's a bustling cafe and by night, there's a unique gnoccheria on King William Road in Hyde Park.

From 7am until 3pm, Hello Neighbour is the place to be. It offers an extensive brunch and drinks menu, catering to most dietary requirements. From 5:30pm until later, the place transforms into Artusi by Night, where you can get creative Italian dishes and beers.

Located at 150 King William Road, the cafe is in a prime location for those who have been for an early morning walk or are on their way to the city.

The cafe has ample seating - inside, under their front veranda as well as curbside. If you opt for the latter two, you can even bring your furry friend for brunch and a well-brewed barista coffee to kick the morning off.

But before you do, best to ring and book a table. Taking your chances with a walk-in, especially on a weekend, means you might be disappointed.

Having a meal at Hello Neighbour is a great opportunity to try something you may not find at other cafes - like charcoal bread, poshmak or pickled kohlrabi. While you're at it you can taste a unique juice combination, like the Kia Ora or go for old faithful, a delicious almond flat white.

Prices are on average, slightly more than your run-of-the-mill cafe but reflect the unique options and portion sizes. Not to mention the fact that you're getting excellent service and a fun atmosphere.

Your coffee options are totally covered here, too - with everything from a bubbacino for $0.50 to a short mac for $3.50 to a beetroot latte for $4.50 to a bulletproof for $5 and a sticky chai for $5.50. There's even a puppacino for your four-legged pal!

Don't worry if you have mobility issues or need to bring a pram with you when you visit, as there is ramp access at the front of the cafe, and the bathrooms are a straight shot through from the front door to the back.

Not only was the food and coffee great at Hello Neighbour - when we visited, we were taken care of by wonderful staff. Special thanks to Catalina who went above and beyond for us, helping us with a modified kid's meal as well as pram access under the veranda.

You can see the Hello Neighbour and Artusi by Night menus online via their website, and check out any updates via their social media platforms while you're at it.
