The Helensburgh Country Fair kicks off at 10am, with the Grand Opening, featuring Rebekah Mowbray singing the National Anthem. Then be entertained by various home-grown, local singers and bands and Symbio Zoo will make an appearance too with their interactive reptile display.

Just before the Grand Parade, the finale, be treated with Helensburgh's home-grown Ray Beadle Trio. Such fantastic entertainment all day long.

A wonderful day out with a full program of entertainment and experiences of a lifetime, including an opportunity to tour an above ground working mine.

Jams, pickles, spreads will be judged by the public; think your jams are good enough to be a winner, enter the home-made jam competition and put yours to the test!

End the Grand Parade - join them as they march the length of Walker Street to Charles Harper Memorial. Ingleburn's Pipe Band and the Irish Dancers will lead the parade.

The parade will have community groups, schools, locals with the pony clubs, service vehicles, surf life saving clubs and their boats.

Join the community as we enjoy a typical country fair, as miners, footy and sports clubs, vintage cars, classic bikes and cars, march the street for a wonderful parade. In fact, I believe Helensburgh's entire community will be involved at some stage of the day.

Join Metropolitan Coal Mine for a tour of the above ground facility. The above ground tour gives you a great insight and understanding of all the buildings and rabbit warren tunnels. These mine tours at present are only available at the Country Fair. Underground tours are not available. See here for a virtual tour of Metropolitan's underground working mine.

This is the major fund raising activity for Helensburgh Lions, all proceeds will go to local community projects.

Sponsored by Peabody Energy and Wollongong Council.
