Helena Road is short, steep at one end, and a well-established road. It has footpaths on both sides and the top end looks over the distant landscape.
Nice view from the top end
The well-established label manifests as picket fences, a lychgate and some wood and wire fences.

Some nice displays of red roses added a lot of colour to one garden. Many other roses were also seen.

Paper daisies are one of the most attractive daisies and are Australian native of Western Australia.

Other native flowers seen were grevilleas and kangaroo paws.

A kanuka tree, a native of New Zealand was an attractive flowering tree.

Pelargoniums and daisies are always nice to look at.

Mass areas of agapanthus often hide unsightly fences and sometimes act as fences.

A new plant was a hummingbird sage, a member of the salvia genus and a native of southern and central California.

A number of flowers seen were an azalea, cosmos, daisy, evening primrose, salvia hot lips and a topped lavender.

An area nicely landscaped in front of a setback fence added attraction to this walk.

Houses built on sloping ground often have steps leading to their front door.

The only bird seen was a little wattlebird nicely perched in a wattle tree.

Flowers attract the eye with their colour, but many non-flowering plants can be attractive. The narrow leaf ash tree was one.

Helena Road runs from Queen Road to Alexandra Road and can be found at Melways 38. H.5.
