The Port Adelaide Food Gardening are having their popular Heirloom Tomato Plant Sale from 10am to 4pm on 15 and 16 October 2022 at 47 Saint Vincent Street, Port Adelaide. Register here to attend this event. Back for its 3rd year in a row, the greenhouse will be bursting with locally grown heirloom tomato plants, so you know it's perfect for the climate. There are more than 18 varieties ranging from the chunky brandywines, to the rich black krims, down to the sweet sugarlump cherry tomatoes. Stay in touch via the event page as the full tomato plant list will be released on2 Oct 2022. Pre-ordered mixed dozen tomato packs will open from7 October.
Both dates will also have entertainment in the form of live music from the buskers stage, food trucks, visiting pop-up stallholders, interactive food gardening workshops, People's Market seasonal fruit and veg and of course let's not forget the huge array of heirloom summer seedlings and plants. The workshop is going to be a great one to attend to learn all about food gardening. As they say, plant food, not lawns, because it's such a joy to go out into your own backyard to pick your own food, knowing it's not been sprayed by nasties, but cared for with love for the family.
