If you're the dramatic type, why not spend a night out at the (HTC). Located in Rosanna, opposite Rosanna train station, the HTC is a non-professional theatre company which produces five plays per year. The Company began in 1952 and was a founding member of the Victorian Drama League. During its 59 years, HTC has produced more than 350 plays, now drawing over 6500 patrons to shows per year.

The air-conditioned auditorium has recently been fitted out with new seating and includes a sound loop for the hearing impaired.

Each of the plays for the year has 12 performances: Thursday-Saturday nights at 8pm plus two Sunday matinees (2pm) and one Wednesday 8pm performance in the final week. Dates for the remainder of 2011 performances are:
21st April-7 May
7 July-23 July
15 September-1 October
17 November-3 December.

2011 playbill includes Richard Harris's classic thriller The Business of Murder, The History Boys, set in a British boys' school and The 39 Steps, a World War I novel come Alfred Hitchcock film come thriller-romance stage show, complete with vaudeville-style comedy. Tickets cost $25 adult/$22 concession. Or why not get a group together - tickets are $20 for groups of ten or more. After-show supper is also available for group bookings. Tickets can be purchased over the phone (9457 4117) or at the door, but check for availability beforehand.
