I'm a traveller who is enjoying the sights and sounds of Melbourne
Published March 14th 2011
Need a great place to run or spend the afternoon in the sun near the shopping district of Glenferrie Road?

Hedgeley Dene Gardens is located off Wattletree Road, in between Tollington Avenue and Ferncroft Avenue, within Malvern East. It is one of the most popular parks in the area due to its sheltered nature, with a lake and numerous trees and fauna linking the perfectly manicured lawns.

Hedgeley Dene Gardensis one of the few examples of public garden design incorporating aspects of an English or Northern European landscape within Victoria. It is also the first instance of the Neighbourhood Character Overlay being implemented in Victoria, where the character of the suburb takes an important place within developmental plans.

Commissioned in 2001, Hedgeley Dene Gardens is a great place to relax, go for a run or bike ride or to take the kids for a bit of a run around. Public transport is also nearby, with the No. 5 tram line and Glen Eira station being near.
