Yeah! A new cafe is opening just a block away from my house. Heaven.



Hedge Espresso has renovated a shop in Lillian Avenue only a block from the train station, on the corner of Kellett Rd. Set up like a house with separate areas - lounge chairs, a large dining table, little cafe tables and an outdoor area. They've also used the footpath for extra space. It's very funky with interesting wooden decor. The roofed and fenced courtyard is filled with comfy cushions and plenty of space for prams. There's even a herb garden.





The amazing furniture was built by the cafe owner, a multi talented fellow. It's really funky - the recycled wood look that is so popular at the moment. If he has time (ha ha), he'll be able to start a second business.



Hours at the moment are 7 - 2 ish but they are considering longer hours if custom warrants it.



The owners are a delightful couple who are keen to meet more locals. They are very friendly and welcoming and I'll certainly be making this place my local.
