South Australia's inaugural
Heavy Horse Festival is set to ride into the picturesque Wirrina Cove on Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th of May 2023. It will be a celebration of all things heavy horse including the Clydesdale and many other breeds.

You can expect show rings for breed, driven and ridden as well as working horse demonstrations, a horse-drawn vehicle display, dressage and trials. The full program is available on their
website. There will also be a trade village with possibly some saddlers, horse merchandise and farrier demonstrations.
Cherry Pickers will provide all the live music for the weekend. And, when you're feeling peckish, do avail yourself of the cafe food available onsite.

The festival will be held on the grounds of
Wirrina Cove Holiday Park in the Fleurieu Peninsula. You are welcome to stay the night too with a variety of accommodation options available at either the holiday park itself or
Breakfree Wirrina Cove located directly across the road.
