Heaven Nightclub

You won't find any angels here, but Heaven nightclub will be sure to show you a good time in little old Adelaide.

If you're looking for a place to party, where the music makes you want to dance all night, Heaven nightclub is where it's at.

Heaven boasts three diverse rooms playing RNB, House, Electro, Funk, new and old-school music; so you don't have to worry about being stuck in a room listening to something you may not like.

The club returned by popular demand after its sudden closure in 2006 and since then it has relocated and been renamed as 'Heaven the Return'.

Main room

The new Heaven was once an old church (go figure), so you'll find that it has quite a medieval feel to it but don't let that put you off. Heaven is one of the most popular nightclubs and holds a steady reputation as the 'go to' place in Adelaide.

One of the greatest things about Heaven is that you can take a visit to the 'Gritti Powder Palace' where a team of stylists are available to touch-up your hair. This is particularly useful when it's raining outside in winter, or if the humidity gets to your hair during the summer months. The 'Gritti Powder Palace' is currently being refurbished; therefore it won't be long until your make-up can be re-done too.

Something that can't go unnoticed is that the toilets are kept clean at all times. It's very rare to find a bathroom of such high standards in a nightclub, not to mention there are plenty of them - when you really "gotta go", you don't have to wait in line for ages - a major plus.

So on a Saturday night when you're deciding what to do, put on your dancing shoes and head to Heaven.

I can't say I'm a fan of Heaven, I don't really go out to nightclubs at all, and the music definitely isn't my scene.

Saying this, I do love the building! It is a gorgeous church from the outside, and really interesting from the inside. I have been there a few times, just as part of various pub crawls, and while the music isn't always my thing I think it is a really interesting venue.

It also held the beer pong championships, which was quite an interesting event, although I'm not sure if they're still going or have finished now... :)

yeah I guess it depends on what you're into music-wise, but it sure attracts a massive crowd on Saturdays!

Interesting about the beer pong championships - didn't know that!

I love Heaven! Its got the best variety of Club music of any Adelaide night club, cheap drinks, an amazing atmosphere and easily the best lighting/sound system in SA! Not to mention its CLEAN, unlike a certain other Adelaide superclub.. definately agree with this review!
