I am always looking for new things to experience with our family. There is so much out there and it would be great to share some of our weekend adventures.

Only the brave need visit this park
Long, long ago, in a land far far away, people lived their busy lives and had almost forgotten the existence of trolls. But, alas, all is not lost, because in a beautiful park, known as Heatherton Park, the legend of the trolls lives on. The trolls guard this park and if you are brave enough, step inside and be part of the fascinating world of the troll....

Heatherton Park

Heatherton Park has a troll theme and you will get to meet and greet three rather large trolls. One troll is a hunchback and green, the troll version of Hulk, the other has only one eye on his forehead and looks rather well fed, while the last one has a bit of a surprised look and doesn't seem quite intimidating at all. The trolls are all standing together and there are seats where you and the kids can relax and suss out the trolls after a bit of a play in the park. If your kids are a bit afraid of the big guys, they can take cover in a troll safe house nearby.

Beware of the Trolls

The playground itself is has a lot of play equipment. There are two separate play structures One has a wave and spiral slide, climbing walls, ladders, fireman's pole, tunnel and a rope walkway. The other structure is smaller with a single slide. Close by, there is also another structure which has three slides.

The park also has four swings, a spinning cup, a thick rope swing as well as a small rope structure which has one trampoline like jumping pad. There is also a flying fox and some monkey bars.

There is also has a large covered shelter with two tables. There is also BBQ facilities and a water tap available.

There is also a basketball court close to the park and there are also large grassy areas where the kids can have a run or play some footy.

Heatherton Park is a hidden gem of a park. We enjoyed our visit to this park, we took snaps with the trolls. This park is quite unique and probably one of the favourites in this area.

This park can be enjoyed by all ages, young and old. Thanks Marilyn for sharing your experience of Heatherton park.

I live in the area and haven't known about the park but next weekend we are going to visit what looks like a wonderful place to explore with the family.

I might see you there. David
