Explore the dark issues that face the teenagers of today
Heathers the Musical is on from the 4th to the 14th of April 2019 at the Jetty Memorial Theatre, 337 Harbour Drive, Coffs Harbour. Based on the 1989 film by Daniel Waters, it is a contemporary rock musical with music, lyrics and book by Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy.

Heathers the Musical is a high-energy dark comedy tackling the struggles that often face teenagers today. It opens conversations about dark issues, including bullying, teen suicide, sexual assault and violence in schools. Fresh off the West End, it is a brand new Australian production that brings you an international hype that has won the Best New Musical at the WhatsOnStage awards in London.

Directed by Rory Banwell and musical direction by Pete Skelton, Heather the Musical is an experience for the not-so-typical theatre-goer filled with witty humour, catchy songs and dark sarcasm. It runs for approximately 2.5 hours, and the audience is forewarned that this performance includes themes of suicide, bullying, drug use, sex scenes and offensive language.
