Heathcote Showgrounds - Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October 2016. Head to Heathcote in October for the Heathcote Wine & Food Festival at the Heathcote Showgrounds.
Wine - About 200 Heathcote wines will be on show for free tasting. You can also buy wine at the festival by the glass or in bottles. That way you can enjoy a tipple at the festival and you can take home bottles for your own cellar.
Trophy and medal winners from the Heathcote Wine Show will be on show, including museum releases and Show specials.
Food and other produce - Produce from around the Heathcote region will be available for purchase too, including olives, olive oil, preserves, nuts, puddings, ice cream, cheese, gourmet biscuits and more. Match your Heathcote wines with some of the food on offer.
If you love your wines and especially enjoy a bit of shiraz, head to the festival for a bit of Shiraz heaven. Get together with your friends and share in the excitement of the Heathcote region's famous full-bodied shiraz or try some of the other alternative varieties.
Match the wines - reds, whites and sparklings - with the wonderful regional food of Heathcote and surrounds, listen to the live music and soak up the country atmosphere at Heathcote's Wine and Food Festival.
At Heathcote's Wine and Food Festival you can experience the regional wine and food at special tasting sessions. There are daily masterclasses. You can wander among the stalls where you'll find more than 40 wineries displaying their wares in the one place for the weekend.
The Heathcote Wine Region is home to many stunning wines that have won national and international acclaim. The Heathcote region, with the famous ancient red Cambrian soil also produces wonderful examples of Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Reislings and Viognier. A visit to the winery cellar doors is a unique experience, however if you come to the Heathcote Wine and Food Festival you can experience more than 40 wineries on display in one place.
There will be tutored wine tastings at the tasting seminars, where you can try delicious regional foods and enjoy live music. There will be activities for children at the Heathcote Wine and Food Festival. Wine Tastings are free.
The Heathcote Wine and Food Festival will be held on the weekend following the AFL Grand Final, so you won't even miss out on watching the Grand Final while you attend the Wine and Food Festival.
