Heath Franklin's Chopper 'Repeat Offender' is coming to Perth on 16th May at the Octagon Theatre for ONE NIGHT ONLY.

Repeat Offender is about that moment where every part of your body wants to smash something in half, like an amphetamine-addled Godzilla but takes a few deep breaths, reassesses the situation and then does it anyway.

Heath Franklin's much loved, Logie and ARIA-nominated comedy character 'Chopper' is an international comedy icon, selling over 280,000 live tickets.

Heath Franklin took time out of his busy schedule to chat about his Stand Up Comedy and his show on Saturday night in Perth.

1. Is stand up something you decided from a young age?

I've always been interested in comedy. I thought that the only viable way of doing comedy was through advertising on TV but then thankfully I discovered sketch comedy.

2. What was your first gig?

I started doing the Eisteddfod from a young age with my sister, but I guess my first real gig was The Comedy Review at my University.

3. Have you any inspirations for your work at the moment other than chopper?

I am doing a lot of work with Chopper at the moment but with sketch comedy you get the opportunity to try out a lot of different characters. So I'm always on the lookout for interesting people.

4. What's the worst/best response you have gotten to your material?

I have a lot of friends who do corporate gigs and they tend to have strict rules in place for the shows but when your doing a show like Chopper people tend to know what they are going to get.

I have experienced people dressed as Chopper which is awesome. It's great when you get to see that kind of enthusiasm.

5. Are there any surprises on stage for the Perth Locals?

I've been doing a show about Chopper for 10 years so the show has got better.

6. Will you be coming back to Perth at any stage?

Yes, I will, Perth has been really good to me so I will be back at some stage but no plans just yet.

7. What's next for Chopper and for Heath Franklin?

I haven't got any plans for a new Chopper just yet, but you don't know when I will get a new idea for a show.

8. Any message for your Perth audience ahead of the show?

I'm really looking forward to getting back in front of the Perth audience.
