As Anzac Day once again approaches on 25 April, my heart and mind turns to thoughts of family and friends who have and still do fight for their country and for those who wait at home for them to return, along with the amazing people who work tirelessly to provide comfort and support both to our military personnel and their families.

Hearts4Heros is a South Australian registered charity that supports Australian heroes; veterans and those injured while serving our beautiful country and our communities as military personnel or emergency services workers.

Located at 1/183 Philip Highway, Elizabeth, Hearts4Heros raises funds through selling good quality, second-hand items such as furniture, clothes and bric-a-brac at reasonable prices in their Op Shop and through providing great food in their recently opened Cafe. The Op Shop is one of the cleanest, spacious, well laid out shops of this style I have ever seen, with an amazing range of interesting items to browse. The staff are friendly and helpful and many of them are young people looking to help out and gain work experience.

Hearts4Heros can also accept cash donations and these along with all profits from the sale of goods in the Op Shop and Cafe are used to support Australian military and emergency services personnel injured in the course of duty and veterans.

If you have a personal connection to this cause as I do or simply believe in supporting our Australian heroes, you can help through the donation of funds of good quality, second hand items, shopping in the Op Shop, having a meal in the Cafe, making a cash donation or maybe you can offer a few hours each week to help out.
