Introducing artists from Syria, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Poland, Pakistan, Iran, Tibet and Zimbabwe, the at The Atrium - Federation Square, corner Swanston & Flinders streets, Melbourne, from Tuesday 19 to Sunday 24 September 2017 is a free eclectic exhibition of art by artists from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.

Covering an array of media that includes paintings, music, photography, poetry, engraving and mosaic, take a glimpse into the heart and soul of the experiences, hopes, dreams and passions of our fellow man who have been displaced by conflict.

Presented by AMES Australia , AMES helps new and recently arrived refugees and migrants to settle into Victoria and work at developing sustainable and effective settlement solutions for the whole Victorian community. An art project like this, gives voice to those who now call Australia home, and an opportunity to share their traditions and culture with the wider Australian community. Be sure to check it out at the beautiful Atrium.

If you absolutely cannot make it, fear not. You can also catch the exhibition at the Box Hill Community Arts Centre - 470 Station St, Box Hill, from 17 to 29 October 2017.
