You won't stop at just one
I love the combination of banana and chocolate in muesli bars, smoothies and banana splits - don't you? This recipe, below, incorporates both of these delicious ingredients with Greek yoghurt, apple sauce, walnuts and cinnamon, for a tasty slice combo.
My family prefer to eat these warm, when the chocolate it goo-ey and the banana is hot, but they also taste just as more-ish the next day. They remain moist and full of flavour. Don't skimp on the Choc Bits, as they pull all the flavours together. Enjoy!
A moist slice, with banana, apple sauce, Greek yoghurt and chocolate
Step 1: Preheat oven to 200 degrees, fan-forced. Line a slice tray with baking paper.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the dry ingredients (except the Choc Bits) - oats, flour, cinnamon, bicarb soda, baking powder and walnuts.
Step 3: Make a well in the centre of the bowl and add the wet ingredients - apple sauce, eggs, milk, yoghurt, bananas and honey. Mix to combine.
Step 4: Pour the batter into the slice tin and then sprinkle the Choc Bits all over the top. Press down the Choc Bits into the mixture with a spoon, or your fingers, to submerge them. Bake for 25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned on top.
