Tucked away at number 1 Carinish Road, Oakleigh South, it's a wonder anyone knows about this business which is a warehouse, not a shop. Yet, as insignificant as it looks from the outside if you notice it at all, the heart of it on the inside is massive and so important to many who are in need of help.
This is Health Care at Home, owned and operated by David Baxter. David and his employees are one of the most friendly, accommodating, efficient and empathetic people you will ever find in the South East suburbs. They truly are in the business of helping people. They treat you with respect and make you feel comfortable within your situation.
In the business for over 20 years, David's motivation was his parents. He felt back in the day, they were not getting a fair shake from the pharmacists in regard to products.
Product range covers urine drainage, adhesive tapes, cotton products, skin care range, procedure packs, medical products, gloves and instruments, irrigation and antiseptics, ulcer and wound dressings, pressure relieving products, high quality support stockings, compression and support bandages, food supplements i.e. Ensure, Sustagen, Proform, Resource, and continence products, disposable and reusable.
Their range is so extensive they are unable to list all the products they sell. If what you require is not on the list, it's best to phone their friendly staff, as it does not necessarily mean they don't have them. They have a website but not a Facebook page. What they do have is good face to face personalised service.
Operating hours are from Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm and you drive right down to the very end of Carinish road right up to the wire fence. The warehouse is right next door to an auto shop and you go through an outer and then an inner door to get to the office.
