With the weather starting to switch on the heat the heavy long layers are shedding and health and fitness are re-entering people's consciousness prompted by the loom of beach body season. There's no better way to kick-start your spring sessions than to head to the Health and Wellbeing weekend at Darling Harbour October 5th & 6th to indulge in a series of free workshops, cooking demonstrations, pampering, information sessions and open classes all led by industry experts. Always wanted to try yoga or zumba but didn't want to fork out $20 in case you didn't like it? Well the sessions are free after registering online so reach out to your inner child; that person who wasn't afraid to try new things - and head on down to the Chinese Garden Forecourt just by Darling Harbour.

Between 10am and 5pm, classes and workshops of all sorts run with roughly 3 events each hour. Take your pick between mediation, a corn fritter demonstration, or soothing yoga just to name a few.

Registering is easy. Click the link here - the registration process will only take 5 minutes and ensures your attendance to the event. Register soon before everyone gets a wind of free activities on offer and they get booked out.

Having only tried yoga once before (in a resort in Thailand) I've signed myself up to experience it on Sydney shores for one of the Sunday classes just to check I like it before committing to a class schedule in my local area. Free, fun, social; what better way to re-test and just check that the enjoyment I found in the class wasn't an endorphin effect of laying by the pool all day earlier.

There are also plenty of prizes up for grabs from the events website as well; get clicking and registering to go into the draw to win cooking equipment, beauty products or even a trip to Bali!

Sponsored by Bauer Media, Special K, Vital Greens & Meadow Lea with Olympic swimmer Stephanie Rice among the celebrity ambassadors; this event is sure to be first class promoting health awareness, emotional and physical well-being. Enrich your mind, build your muscles (and discover ones you never knew existed) and welcome in the spring and summer months all beginning the first weekend of October at the Health and Well-being Weekend.
