Last week, I attended the launch of Health Space clinic's new , a brand new store and clinic in Sydney's Potts Point.

The launch took place on Thursday 28 May from 6-9pm at , 33 Bayswater Road, Potts Point, 2011.



Celebrity guests on the night included author, speaker and visionary, Therese Kerr (Miranda Kerr's mother), as well as Health Space celebrity Chiropractor, Tim Robards, along with his partner, Anna Heinrich, both from The Bachelor and I'm a Celebrity Get Me out of Here.

The joining of clinical services and new whole food store looks like an unprecedented move by Health Space Founders, Drs. Nicholas and Kate Wood. The integrated store, now the tenth space of the brand, focuses on empowering the local community to live healthy and holistic lives; inspired by a team of health professionals; chiropractors, nutritionists and naturopaths.



Discussing what led to this new offering, Dr. Wood, said, "We have had the main clinic in Potts Point for over 10 years now, and the addition of the whole food store is just an evolution of our vision. We have been listening to the needs of our clients and we are excited to be able to create this for them."

Stated in a recent article published by Monash University, "Australia is today ranked as one of the fattest nations in the developed world. The prevalence of obesity in Australia has more than doubled in the past 20 years."Almost two out of three Australian adults (63%) are overweight or obese," according to the government-led Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW). "It's terribly sad to read statistics like this. Our vision for the clinic and is really about making healthy and holistic living easy, convenient and affordable," Dr. Wood added.



Whole food store services:

The whole food store only purchases organic and ethical standard natural goods. Customers will have the ability to purchase products from the latest health food brands; COYO, Inside Out, Loving Earth, TOM Organic, Raw C, Barambah Organics, Divine by Therese Kerr, Bare Blends, Kitz Living Foods, Naked Paleo, Pana Chocolate, Honest to Goodness and more.

Clinical services:

The clinic is now fully active and boasts community focused pricing and services; cooking classes, health talks, community acupuncture ($30 instead of $90), community chiropractic ($30 instead of $71), and community yoga once a week (free).
The new whole food store comes fully equipped with additional health services; chiropractic, massage, naturopathy, nutrition, acupuncture, physiotherapy, sauna, and float tank.

It was a fantastic night, and it was hard to move around with the 200 attendees on site. It was a suppliers delight with heaps of major brands facilitating live shows packed with delicious treats. I even had time to take a quick dip into the float tank, which was divine. I left the night on cloud nine, with a bag full of goodies, which shoppers can now purchase in the shop itself.

If you live in the local community around Potts Point/Kings Cross/Elizabeth Bay, this is worth a serious visit.
