If you're anything like me, you're constantly searching for new and safe places for your pooch to run around off leash till their hearts content. I personally have a favourite dedicated dog park that I think everyone south of the city should try. I'm talking about the Hezelmere Reserve located at
18 Hazelmere Rd, Glengowrie SA 5044.

Making new friends
This is probably the biggest dog park I've come across and a big park brings many many dogs, which is great news if you're looking at socialising your pup or are simply looking for a good ol' rough and tumble. I've found that peak hour mid week is somewhere around 5pm when everyone is finishing up work for the day, and just about any time on the weekends will ensure puppy play time!
This dedicated dog park is fully fenced, has a doggy drinking fountain/bowl, multiple bins and disposal bags provided, public toilets, many benches to put your feet up and ample parking.
If you're wanting to take the kids out too but not sure how they'll go with all the dogs running around, there is a divider fence separating a playground and barbecue area from all the happy chaos.
Hazelmere Reserve is open 24/7 although there isn't lighting so I would suggest heading over while the sun is up.
Don't have a dog of your own? No problem, just head over yourself and play with the dozens of dogs on offer, their owners are always very lovely and happy to chat. I go there quite often, take my word for it.
