I am always looking out for new experiences, wherever I may find myself.

Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre is about to head into its teenage years and it's having a huge party on Sunday February 24 to celebrate. The event will run from 9.00am to 3.00pm and will feature heaps of free, family-friendly fun.
The Wild Ones Summer Market, a seasonal market hosted by the gallery, will be taking place on the day between 10.00am and 4.00pm. This market combines contemporary designer markets with craft activities, free entertainment and yummy food.
Festoon - A Craft Explosion, will also be unveiled. It will feature a whole lot of craft-bombing all around the gardens and surrounds of the gallery (it's like yarn-bombing, when knitted and crocheted yarns covers items in public places, but designed to embrace a wider range of crafts). In the lead up to the celebrations, you can participate in bunting workshops and if you would like to donate your own creations, you can drop them off at the Festoon station in the gallery's foyer.
Hazelhurst Gallery's birthday celebrations will also feature open studios, live music throughout the day, film screenings, guided tours of Hazelhurst's ArtExpress exhibition, roving performers and art-making activities for both adults and children.
