Charming rustic gallery cafe in the Shire
Situated within the Hazelhurst gallery complex in Gymea is the Hazelhurst Cafe, serving delicious meals all day between 9am and 4pm.
The food was so impressive that I went twice in one week. The food isn't what one would expect of a cafe, being more like a proper restaurant, showing a lot of finesse and flair.
Even on a weekday, the place was packed with locals and the atmosphere was buzzing. As they do not take bookings for groups of less than 8, you'll want to arrive early to score a table (lunch is served from noon).
The decor is rustic chic, with quirky touches like the serve-yourself water in big glass jars coming out of a tap above a stone basin.
Been to Hazelhurst for lunch a few times enjoyed it . Went for breakfast on a Sunday and will never go back. Waited one hour for the first breakfast to be served then the rest of our table got their breakfast ten minutes later will not be back.
