Entertaining tribute show by The Haze Quartet Band
There are U3A Groups all over Australia offering great opportunities for our seniors through courses, events and activities so they remain mentally, physically and socially active. U3A an acronym for University of the Third Age being the period of active retirement after the childhood and working stages in one's life.
On Saturday 23rd November 2019, U3A in Western Australia is hosting The Haze Concert 2019 from 1.00pm to 3.00pm at the Wesley Quarter The Uniting Church Hall, Level 1, 97 William Street, Perth.
The Haze, formerly known as Purple Haze, is a band, which is based in Perth and was performing back in the '70s. In 2009 they reformed and have been entertaining ever since to audiences who love their vocal harmonies and their use of a wide range of musical instruments.
The band members include Greg (Bazz) Clarke who is a fine sax play and vocalist, but who can also double on the trumpet and rhythm guitar, Robbie Jones' expertise is with both acoustic and electric guitars, with an ability to move between many genres of music as well as contributing with vocals. Composer and professional music teacher Rod Christian plays bass and is the 'choirmaster' behind the band's harmonies, while U3A member Nige Ridgway completes the quartet on drums and vocals. Nige has a wealth of musical credits as he has been playing in rock 'n' roll, country and jazz bands since the mid-'60s.
Cost of the afternoon is $5.00 per person and tickets can be purchased online. Come along and enjoy an afternoon of great music as The Haze Quartet takes you on a journey as they pay tribute many artists known by you. For more information please contact Dinah on 0408 936 737.
