Farmers are the backbone of this country," and I understand what they are going through. They are doing it tough through this drought. Not only do we want to help out, we want to show them that they have our support" - John. A beloved entertainer who has entertained audiences across Australia and the globe for almost five decades, John needs no introduction as he continues to sell out arenas.
The other Jon,
Jon Stevens is the other big-name item added to the list of performers. This rock N roller has his mojo fully intact and stands virtually alone in the music scene with a raw vocal power that won him attention first as a teenage and now as a veteran singer and songwriter.
All Our Exes Live In Texas have four members in their folk band and they're all beautiful performers in their own right. Here to combine in four-part folk heaven; four songwriters and four unique voices, their music is refreshingly different, creating a brand new type of modern folk.
The Black Sorrows have been at the forefront of Australian music for decades. Renowned for their high-energy live shows, musicianship and infectious raw, rootsy, rhythms, they have not stopped recording and performing since Joe formed the band in 1984. From gospel to sweet soul, raw blues to country and wild rock'n'roll joyrides, no musical style is left in the corner waiting for a dance partner.
Vika & Linda Bull gained their multi-platinum conquest of pop radio with the Black Sorrows in the late 1980s. Since then the sisters have successfully forged diverse pathways into soul, gospel, blues, country and the island music of their Tongan ancestry. Their invitation to join Joe Camilleri's Black Sorrows ushered in that band's most successful era: Hold Onto Me, Harley and Rose and Better Times were all triple-platinum albums between '88 and '92, and the sisters' prominent vocals captivated massive audiences, here and worldwide. See all these iconic music stars at the Concert.
