Love waking up to go on an adventure. My motto is to collect memories not possessions.
Come and enjoy the largest rural show in NSW
The 130th Hawkesbury Show is a great way to celebrate Easter and to get out and see some of rural Sydney. The show is the largest Rural Show in NSW - so there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.
This year the show will run from 15 to 17 April 2016 (fortunately in the middle of NSW School Holidays) at the Hawkesbury Showground, Racecourse Road, Clarendon.
As always the show is choc full of great entertainment for the whole family. Highlights of the weekend include:
Grand Parade and Opening Ceremony
Car and motorsport events including Isuzu D Max Precision Driving Team, Showtime Freestyle Team Extreme Motor X
Horse and Pony competitions
Wife Carrying Competition
Rooftop Express Wild West Show
Fireworks each evening
Agility Dog Demonstration
There will of course also be rides, showbags and a sideshow alley. As well as a huge range of businesses exhibiting local and national produce and products.
Each day features different entertainment options so make sure you check out the full show schedule here.
The show is also full of the much loved show competitions and there's still time to enter many of the categories - with something for everyone why not give it a go! Categories range from wool to preserves to junior cooking and photography. There are over twenty categories so check out their website for more details on show categories.
With ticket prices the same as last year you'll still have some money left over for fairy floss:
Family: (2 Adults and 2 Children): $55.00
Family: (1 Adult and 2 Children): $35.00
Extra Child: $5.00
Concession (Aged, War Service & Companion Card Holders): $12.00.
And to sweeten the deal, parking is free in a 60 acre car park (so there should be room for everyone!).
So why not get along and enjoy this historical Sydney festival. It is sure to be a great day out.
