Since our last visit , Hawker Walker has moved to a new location in the food court at Adelaide Central Plaza. For those who are worried about missing out on their favourite dishes, they need not worry as the selection remains unchanged.

When ordering their Yong Tao Fu, customers can choose between chicken broth and laksa soup, and with or without vermicelli noodles. The chicken broth that we chose subtly enhanced the taste of the other ingredients. The fried dumpling and tofu retained some crispiness, and the meatball had a nice firm texture.

For the two extra ingredients that we were allowed to pick, we chose eggplant and chilli. The eggplant retained some texture and the chilli was not too spicy. The meat filling stuffed in the chilli complemented it nicely and was not too chewy. Hoisin sauce came with the dish to serve as a dipping sauce.

The chicken thigh fillet used in the Hainan Chicken Rice was juicy and succulent, and the sauce spooned over it added a delectable savoury flavour. We liked that the rice was light and fluffy and had the degree of chicken rice flavour that we expected. In addition to cucumber and chicken broth, a gingery green sauce and special chilli sauce came with the dish. While the chilli sauce had a fair amount of heat, it should still be suitable for most tastes.

The food court had ample seating space with a comfortable ambience even during the peak lunch hour. Its location makes it convenient for visitors to Rundle Mall who are looking for a place that offers delicious Malaysian street food.
