Brisbane now has its own venue that will take you on a journey of unique thrills challenging your mind as you find each clue to the puzzle. At "Puzzled Room Escape" your group enters a room to solve a series of puzzles where clues are rewarded as you successfully decipher each puzzle. As the game progresses, you will learn the enthralling story behind each theme and ultimately unlock the door to your escape.
From the 26th September through to 1st November, Puzzled Room Escape is running the themed "Haunted Academy". The tale is told that evil is lurking in the prestigious academy and someone or something insidious dark and sickening is lusting for blood. On the 31st October when the moon is high above the school, the evil returns for its next prey. After another girl is missing things start to spiral out of control. This event is not for the faint-hearted; however if you believe you have the courage to face the danger and get to the bottom of the mystery you can book your place on the website for this intriguing enigma.
Other themed rooms are "Puzzle Tech Murder" which has a difficulty of 3.5 and recommended to puzzlers new to the Room Escape and "Puzzled Academy" with a 4.5/5 difficulty range which is recommended to experience Room Escape Puzzlers. If you have a group of 6 people the session is $132 or $22/pp or two people at a cost of $90/session. Prices for other groups of players can be read on their website. Multiple group bookings are also available and information of group bookings can be obtained by telephoning 0411 440 035.
Groups are co-ordinated in sizes of four to six and if you are on your own, that doesn't matter as you will be placed in a group. As all puzzles can be solved by the items provided in each room, there is no need to bring your own tools. However, there is one rule and that is that no mobile phones are allowed in the rooms. Locked boxes are provided at reception for all your personal belongings.
If there are any issues in the rooms an emergency button will be given to each group which can be used to alert staff. Groups will also be given three "help tokens" to be used if you are stuck on a clue, frustrated or simply have run out of time. Staff will come in to assist you with the clues at the cost of one of the token.
As every precaution is provided for the safety of all patrons, it is advisable that people who suffer from medical conditions such as claustrophobia, seizures or any other similar conditions do not play. Patrons are solely responsible for any related incidents that may occur.
The recommended age is 15 although the rooms are designed to be quite challenging. Scheduled sessions are run at the predetermined times, so it is best to arrive 15 minutes prior to the commencement of your session. Refunds will not be permitted if you arrive late and the game has already begun. Please read the cancellation and booking amendment policy carefully which can be read on their website.
Sounds like lots of fun, so round up a group of your friends or suggest a night out for your work social club. Dress attire is comfortable clothing.
Hi the photo of the mansion was not meant to be any specific mansion. Yes it is Woodlands of Marburg. It was meant to represent a mansion or school as the building was once a school at Marburg. I am not trying to be misleading and I apologise if you think I am. If you wish to speak to me please do so through my facebook page Regards Susan Bowes
Photo is of a mansion known as Woodlands of Marburg. It is not Holland Park West as article suggests. As for the other photos, they are irrelevant to the article. Most photos are misleading, irrelevant, as they are not related by any way to the Academy.
