Lisa Nicchia's passion is to share yoga and meditation with all who wish to bring peace, harmony and balance into their life. She teaches Hatha yoga, a gentle style of yoga connecting breath to movement, suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. Classes include postures, breathing practices and relaxation. In 2017 there will be meditation evenings conducted every month at her studio.

Lisa recently opened her own Yoga studio in Trott Park, South Australia teaching six Yoga classes each week, as well as offering Therapeutic massage and Reiki healings.

Yoga came into her life as a child in the late 1960's early 1970's when Swami Sarasvati had a regular yoga segment on Australian TV. Lisa's interest in Yoga began when her mother followed and watched Swami's program. Her mother embraced the concept of yoga and the health benefits of the practice. Lisa often joined her mother as she practiced the postures guided by the beautiful Swami. This is where Lisa's passion for yoga and its philosophies all began. Yoga, Pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation have always been an important part of her life.

Some of the benefits of the Yoga practice include increased strength and flexibility. With regular practice and learning various breathing techniques yoga can improve your ability in coping with day to day stresses. Increased awareness through movement and learning to breathe correctly can assist with many areas of your life, including just an overall feeling of well-being. Yogis believe "a flexible spine is a healthy body". The practice of yoga assists in keeping the spine as well as the whole body supple, assisting us to stay active throughout our entire lifetime.

Breathing practices are known as Pranayama and have a profound affect on our physical and mental well being. Through us learning to use breath control we can alter our state of mind, bringing calmness and serenity assisting in the management of stress and anxiety.

Lisa has a Yoga Teaching Diploma, a Diploma in Meditation and Certificate IV in Counselling and Communication. In 2014 a lifelong dream was realised as she joined a tour to India with Swami and her son Sanjay. This tour covered places of interest in the North of India including the Taj Mahal, The Golden Temple in Amritsar and a visit to the Dalai Lama's residence in Dharamshala. In the area of Dharamshala is where Lisa met a Yogi who is known as Omshankar Yogi. Since then she has been back to India to further her studies with Omshankar Yogi of Baghsu Yoga Institute.
