The Harvest 'n' Graze phenomenon is spreading around town like a lovely big, inviting picnic blanket. After its beginnings in Caulfield and upcoming October celebrations on the magical Mornington Peninsula, this family-friendly food, wine and music event will deliciously unfurl itself across the splendid gardens of Rippon Lea on November 18th.
Located in Elsternwick just a short drive south of town, the heritage-listed Rippon Lea House & Gardens is well worthy of a day trip at any time - let alone when the gorgeous grounds are graced with lots of premier, hand-picked Victorian food and wine producers and an I-can't wait, live music line-up featuring Daryl Braithwaite - and, yes, after seeing him live a couple of times, I can personally vouch for the fact that he's well and truly still got it going on - and he gets the whole crowd going too.
Kids' entertainment and a sizzling array of cooking demonstrations add to what looks to be a sensational spring gathering featuring cheese, wine and all things divine in one of the best locations in the state.
