Heading straight to the Harvest market after landing in Launceston is a priority on a Saturday. The stallholders are out in full force and even more so, the market-goers!
The variety of local produce available is impressive: sustainable avocados from Avoland, Spanish rojo garlic from Mount Arthur Garlic, ready-to-eat greens from Brocklands Microherbs, just to name a few. Eggs, breads, berries and meats are abundant, as well as the hot food and sweet treats.
Coffee beans from all over the world are ready to be bagged from the paint tins and there are local vineyards showcasing their varietals. Make the Saturday meal a locally sourced one!
