Festival junkies have a chance to once again unite for the excitement of live music in the open air in November, as the Harvest Festival rolls in to Melbourne on the 12th and then on to Sydney and Brisbane on the 13th and 19th respectively to make its Australian debut.
A phenomenal line up, including headlining acts such as Portishead - who haven't played in Australia in fourteen years - The Flaming Lips, The National and Bright Eyes as well as a host of other original and outstanding artists.
A one day event, there is more than just the great artists to make this festival a must-do, as the organisers made the choice of cutting out fillers and making it an 18 event. Holding the festival in natural, green areas of their host cities, adding ambient lighting and setting up stalls, holistic markets, cocktail bars, food outlets and displays of visual artistry (including neo-cabaret dancers) really gives Harvest a unique edge over festivals like Soundwave and Big Day Out.
Tickets are on sale now for $150 and can be bought through Ticketek, Oztix or through the Harvest Festival website (link below). Harvest will be held in Werribee Park in Melbourne, Paramatta Park in Sydney and Riverstage in Brisbane.
