Tantalising Treats to Tempt your Tastebuds
Harvest Breads Cafe is a quaint bakery/café which looks across scenic Cotton Tree Park and the Maroochy River. They offer extensive breakfast, lunch and sandwich menus seven days a week with outdoor and inside seating. Tuesday-Saturday they bake fresh sourdough breads, pastries and very tasty cakes.
To complement the bakery and café they also produce a range of jams, condiments, breads, coffee and muesli that boast raw natural ingredients to entice our taste buds and can be purchased for later enjoyment.
Breakfast ranges from $4 to $18; lunch menu averages $15; with the sandwiches from $8-16 and all. The cakes are all natural ingredients and tantalise our every sense – two little lads didn't want to waste even a crumb of their chocolate brownie.
They open every day at 7am but closing time varies – weekdays its 3.30pm, Saturday 2pm and Sunday 1pm. Please be sure to note that the kitchen closes for orders about half an hour before that. On the Sunday I watched seven customers turned away and two made calls, implying that they had been planning to meet others. An odd time for those wanting a leisurely weekend lunch, so might be best to phone ahead for that picnic basket.
