An incredible outing for all ages.

[ADVERT]Maybe you don't think killing crocs for leather is the most wonderful use of human time but you will still enjoy seeing these amazing animals close up at Hartleys Crocodile Adventures. The croc attack show is amazing and reveals the killer instinct of these animals. The keeper on the day was very entertaining. Children in the audience were absolutely wowed by his antics and he gave fantastic info while staying sprightly on his feet. There is even plenty of time for questions.

The boat ride is relatively short but you get to see crocs in the river, semi-submerged, swimming and just laying around as they would in the wild. There is a good cafe overlooking the water but food is relatively expensive - bring a packed lunch as there is plenty of space to sit down and watch the wallabies hop around in the nature park. There are several talks for kids and adults but check the timing so that you don't miss out.

It isn't too far from Cairns and there are some beaches on the way, but would you really go for a swim in Cairns' waters after hearing about what these crocs get up to? I'll let you decide.
