There's no denying it. The books might be finished, the movies have played their final scenes on the big screen; but the love of Harry Potter around the world hasn't faded.

Relive the magic of the stories with a one off opportunity too good to pass up these school holidays. Get ready for a Harry Potter-a-thon at the State Library.

If you're a Harry Potter fan and have entered the Mortlock Chamber of the State Library, chances are you've felt as though you're stepping into a scene at Hogwarts.

Now's your chance to immerse yourself in the world of Harry once again.

The marathon takes place on 18 and 19 January 2016 with single day passes and marathon two day passes available from the State Library's website . Over these two days all eight movies will be screened (four a day) from 9:30am until approximately 9:30pm each day.

Take a bean bag, pillow, blanket or broomstick to sit on (although the broomstick might not be the most comfortable of options) and settle in for a day of Harry Potter mania (or two days if you dare).

Prizes will be awarded for dressing up, so start practicing drawing Harry's famous scar and dig out your toy Hedwig.

Single day tickets are $25 per person and two day passes are $40 per person and can be purchased online .

Be quick as I'm sure this event will sell out fast!

Please note children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
