In a first for the Sydney Opera House, watch Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone on a giant screen accompanied by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra playing the entire film score live.

Re-live the magic and wonder as Harry, Ron & Hermione set foot into the world of Hogwarts. It's a rare opportunity to witness a movie such as Harry Potter in an iconic setting like the Opera House.

According to film producer & director David Lynch* (Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart) "Films are 50 percent visual and 50 percent sound. Sometimes sound even overplays the visual". Making this event not to be missed. *source

Hearing the Sydney Symphony Orchestra play John Williams original score live alongside this favourite childhood movie adds an intensity and richness you won't feel from just watching the DVD at home. The outstanding acoustics of the Opera House will ensure every whoosh, wiz and zap surrounds you like no home theatre system ever could.

I recently sat in row A (seat 26) and it felt like being in the front row at the cinema. I had to look up to see the screen but there was nothing blocking the screen, even though it was sold as restricted viewing.

Tickets will sell out quickly. Book online here.
