Dear Muggles,
We're celebrating Harry Potter Book Night in Brisbane. Thursday 1 February 2018 will see the fourth annual Harry Potter Book Night celebrated throughout the world and here at Brisbane libraries, we're getting ready to host an unforgettable night themed around Fantastic Beasts.

On Harry Potter Book Night: Fantastic Beasts, we'll be sharing the wonder of J.K. Rowling's unforgettable stories and, most excitingly, introducing the next generation of readers to the unparalleled magic of Harry Potter. Here at the various libraries, young wizards, witches and Muggles will be treated to an evening of beastly games, readings from our favourite Harry Potter books and the Beastly Brain-teaser quizzes and games. We'll be decorating the venue, as well as serving up snacks inspired by some of the scrumptious wizard foods in the books.

The chief librarian says, "We are so excited to be joining up with schools, libraries, bookshops and community centres throughout the world – to celebrate the fourth Harry Potter Book Night. We have always been fans of the Harry Potter books". Join a group of Harry Potter fans on Harry Potter Book Night to celebrate the novels that made a substantial impact all over the muggle world. Share in themed activities, games and quizzes.

Cosplay is encouraged - join other Harry Potter fans dressed as your favourite character. What is Cosplay? "Cosplay, a contraction of the words costume play, is a hobby in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character." (Wikipedia)
