Wanderlust - A strong desire to travel
"A woman consumed by wanderlust"

Who is Harry Hartog? The question, my dear friends, still remains a mystery...however, it has not deterred book lovers from visiting and purchasing not only books but quirky little gifts and cards. The shop's design is cosy and friendly, with arm chairs and bookcases filled with second-hand books situated outside the store. The ceiling is lined with hanging lightbulbs donned with old world war army helmets as well as colourful aeronautic nick-knacks.
The highlight for me are the book launches held frequently in-store after hours, showcasing local and national authors. During these sessions there is the typical Q&A with the author, a small welcoming speech, then topped off with some drinks and nibbles. I have only attended two of these sessions and look forward to more. I may not know or have read works by the authors, but I found the experience positive and fun. The atmosphere is personal with the ability to have a one-on-one conversation with the author, and get a sense of belonging to a community of fellow booklovers, writers and fellow bloggers.
So if you're looking for something low key to do on a weeknight, I would highly recommend a night with Harry.
