I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony.

This simple message from the seventies still rings true today. The World Harmony Society, supported by the City of Ipswich, aims to spread this message at the Harmony Day Festival on Saturday, March 23. Taking place at the Robelle Domain (Springfield Central) from 3pm to 9pm, this free, multicultural festival is fun for the whole family.

Enjoy ethnic food, martial arts demonstrations, and multicultural performances. Take part in cultural workshops or enter the chilli eating contest (if you dare). Children's entertainment includes free face painting, fun rides, and a fire engine display. The official opening ceremony takes place at 5:30pm, followed by a traditional lion dance.

The festival will finish in spectacular fashion, with sound and light shows at 7pm and 9pm and a fantastic fireworks display at 8:30pm.

All profits from the festival will benefit disaster victims through the Ipswich Mayor's Flood Appeal.

In case of rain, please check the World Harmony Society website .
