Harmony Day is a celebration for everyone about cultural diversity. On Harmony Day, we are reminded to respect everyone who calls Australia home and to respect their cultures. Harmony Day is held every year on 21 March in Australia to coincide with the United Nation's International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
2018 Harmony Day, as usual, will be packed with exciting events and activities for everyone. Here are some of the Harmony Day events happening around Darwin and Palmerston area.
Darwin Memorial Uniting Church on 78 Smith St, Darwin will be celebrating multicultural Darwin with "Harmony Day CBD Celebration". This celebration will be including entertainment, activities and food on Saturday, 24th March 2018 starting from 4.30pm until 7pm.
City of Palmerston will host "Harmony Day Family Festival" on Saturday, 24th March 2018 at Gray Football Stadium, 30 Victoria Drive Gray. This fun family event will run from 3pm until 9pm. To celebrate Australia's cultural diversity with it's inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone, Harmony Day Family Festival will have soccer matches, cultural performances, art activities, food and family fun. There will also be face painters, jumping castles and more for the kids.
